We treat addiction as an illness, not a life choice and ensure that all our practitioners are highly trained and motivated to enable individuals to embark on a life-changing process.
As A Night Support Worker you will provide appropriate support to clients in accordance with therapists’ instructions and perform overnight duties according to weekly rotas You will answer the phone when required and ensure all messages are passed on to relevant colleagues. You will also ensure all clients’ medication and prescriptions are dealt with appropriately and give medication to clients as required following company guidelines. Develop and maintain supportive working relationships with colleagues and promote a team working approach at all times.

Roles and Responsibilities
Engage effectively with the client group
Prepare and distribute medication to clients
Meet the needs of Sanctuary Lodge’s premises/property security
To liaise effectively and co-operatively with colleagues
To have completed the induction process
Be working towards CQF Level 3 Health and Social Care
To undertake regular training and supervision sessions in-house and externally
Comply with Sanctuary Lodge’s policies, procedures and terms and conditions
Have good timekeeping and attendance
Have good general and overall conduct and presentation
To carry out all tasks with professionalism and in accordance with Sanctuary Lodge’s policies particularly those on
Equal, Diversity, and Confidentiality
Any other duties and responsibilities expressed and implied which arise from the nature and character of the post within the Organisation.
Light cleaning duties
To ensure clients’ safety is maintained and monitored overnight
Update client files with observations and changes in clients’ mood and behaviour on a nightly basis
Email observations to support and therapy team of any changes in clients’ mood and behaviour on a nightly basis.
To print out emailed observations and information and place them in the support book ready for morning handover
Archiving and maintaining the archive files both paper and electronic.
To follow instructions and hand over information from support staff
Essential Experience
Proven experience in a similar role
A flexible open approach and proven communication skills
Administration skills
Confidence to work on own initiative as well as part of the team
Knowledge of health and safety, including assessing high-risk situations for clients
An empathic and non-judgmental attitude
A commitment to support Sanctuary Lodge’s values and mission
An ability to effectively work with people regardless of their ethnic, cultural
and social backgrounds, their gender, age, religious belief, disability and sexual orientation
Ability to work as part of a team
Full clean driving license
Good communication skills
Ability to respond flexibly to the demands of the post
